Toffee is a delicious treat that can add an extra layer of sweetness and crunch to any dessert. One of my favorite ways to use toffee is in brownies. The rich, buttery flavor of toffee pairs perfectly with the dense, chocolatey goodness of brownies. In this recipe blog post, I will show you how to make toffee brownies that are sure to satisfy your sweet tooth.
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup toffee pieces
Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and line a 9x13 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
In a large mixing bowl, melt the butter in the microwave or on the stovetop until it is fully melted.
Add the granulated sugar to the melted butter and mix until well combined.
Beat in the eggs, one at a time, until fully incorporated.
In a separate mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, unsweetened cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Whisk together until fully combined.
Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
Fold in the toffee pieces.
Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth out the surface with a spatula.
Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Let the brownies cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes before removing them and placing them on a wire rack to cool completely.
Once the brownies are cool, cut them into squares and serve.
These toffee brownies are rich, chocolatey, and perfectly sweet. The addition of toffee pieces adds a delightful crunch and makes these brownies stand out from the crowd. Enjoy them with a cold glass of milk or a scoop of ice cream for the ultimate indulgence. Give this recipe a try and I promise you won't be disappointed!
